Over 150 Years of HISTORY from Tsukiji, Japan.
Over 50 Years of EXPERIENCE in Vancouver.
Kamei Royale is officially the oldest Japanese restaurant in BC.

Kamei Sushi originated in Tsukiji, Japan over 150 years ago, where it was known as the largest fish market in the world from 1657.
In 1972, we have officially opened our business in Vancouver and became the primary influencer in not only spreading Japanese cuisines but culture as well. We have brought hundreds of chefs from Japan and we became the biggest contributor in offering jobs to Japanese which expanded the community to what we have today.

Unlike the fake made-up KAMON we see other Japanese brands hanging on their doorstep, Kamei Royale’s 5 petal flower Kamon is a true and traditional marking we had over centuries.
Inventor of the BC Roll

Yes, we are the inventor of the BC Roll. Some chef or restaurants claims they created the BC roll but the fact is, BC Roll existed before their claim. We have invented our first original roll, the BC Roll in 1972.
